About Child & Adolescent Day Treatment
Day Treatment at ICS is a non-residential, intensive, structured,
therapeutic treatment program for children and adolescents who are
having difficulty functioning in their lives.

With careful guidance from our experienced
staff, ICS Therapeutic Day Treatment Programs use Positive Peer
Pressure in a group therapy setting to move participants toward
accepting responsibility for their behaviors and changing behaviors
that aren’t working
for them.
Our programs utilize a proven, hands-off approach with no need for
physical restraint.

Client Needs
ICS Day Treatment Programs are designed to help
children (ages 5-8, 8-12) and adolescents (ages 13-17) who are displaying
emotional or behavioral difficulties at home, in school or in the community.
Characteristics include:
• Oppositional or defiant behaviors
• Truancy
• Lack of accountability
• Lack of structure
• Struggling with depression, abuse experience, alcohol or drug abuse
Half-Day Programs
Each ICS Therapeutic Day Treatment group meets
half-days, five times per week. Because ICS Day Treatment is community
based, clients stay in their schools, remain in their communities
and continue to reside in their own home, foster home or group home
where they can practice their new skills.
